It can be tough to perform an IT lead generation campaign. There are so many things that can happen that will affect your productivity. The problem here is that most of us often fall victim to complacency. We think that we have the best plan in generating IT leads only to end up at the losing end. It sure brings back a lesson that Bill Gates imparted to entrepreneurs. It may be old, but it still makes sense even today. He said:
“In this business, by the time you realize you’re in trouble, it’s too late to save yourself. Unless you’re running scared all the time, you’re gone.”
This is a very apt comment. How often do we look at business as one in trouble? More likely than not, we are thankful that things run smoothly, so that we can finally relax. Now that is a big mistake. We need to be constantly on our toes. Business is war, as the Japanese would say. Only by staying prepared could we maintain our competitive edge. If we need to learn new skills, like the fine art of appointment setting or polish our existing ones, like what our IT telemarketing skills, for example, only then can we be competitive. That is the world of the IT industry.
Bill Gates sure made his point clear. We need to be always at our best. That is the real way for us to win more sales leads.
